2. At the 8th SZEGED MARATHON, we do not provide transportation or delivery for individual/personal refreshments.
3. Qualified first aid personnel will be on standby throughout the duration of the event. It is crucial that every participant looks out for their own safety and the safety of fellow runners. Should you encounter a fellow athlete who has suffered an accident, you must provide assistance and immediately notify the Head Organizer.
4. Checkpoints may be established at any point along the race course to monitor and record participants’ progress. The Head Organizer is not required to disclose the exact locations of these checkpoints in advance.
5. The race is open to all well-prepared runners who accept the terms and conditions outlined in the race announcement and are fully aware of the physical challenge involved. Every runner is responsible for ensuring that their health condition allows them to participate. The organizers shall not be held liable for any medical or health-related issues.
6. Doping Policy: I declare that I am preparing for the race using clean methods and do not use any substances listed on the current MOB (Hungarian Olympic Committee) doping list. If requested after the race, I agree to provide a sample to the officials. Refusal to provide a sample will result in disqualification.
7. Code of Conduct: I acknowledge that mutual respect and acceptance are integral parts of the 8th SZEGED MARATHON spirit, and that the organizing staff (traffic controllers, volunteers, refreshment crews, etc.) work in this same spirit. Any physical aggression, spitting, profanity, or abusive messages/letters directed toward the staff will result in immediate disqualification. Furthermore, any participant disqualified for such behavior will have their future registrations for events organized by Pulzus Szeged Futóklub SE rejected.
8. Roller skating, cycling, running without a race bib, or running with a dog is strictly prohibited. Any runner assisted by a companion on a bicycle or roller skates, or using an unofficial “pacer” or “rabbit”, will be disqualified from the race.

Cheating: Using any vehicle during the race to gain an advantage, or swapping/exchanging race bibs. This also results in an immediate and lifetime ban from all events organized by Pulzus Szeged Futóklub SE.
Ignoring directions from the organizing staff, traffic controllers, or first aid personnel.
Exceeding Time Limits: Finishing beyond the pre-announced cut-off times.
In the event of any violation not explicitly listed above, the race marshals and officials will make the final decision.
11. Protests must be submitted in writing to the Head Organizer at the Race Center within 1 hour of crossing the finish line. The fee for a protest is 5,000 HUF in all cases. If the protest is found to be unsubstantiated, this fee is non-refundable.
12. For organizational reasons, the Head Organizer reserves the right to limit the number of participants and to close registration at any time.
13. In the event of drastic weather conditions (per the National Meteorological Service’s forecast: average daytime temperatures below -10°C or reaching 40°C; snowfall or freezing rain; storms or gale-force winds) or other unforeseeable factors (e.g., epidemiological situation, pandemic causing mass illness threatening life and property, or a state of emergency declared to protect the health and lives of citizens) that make organizing or holding the race impossible, the Organizer has the discretionary power to decide whether to hold or postpone the event. In the event of a postponement, the Organizer shall notify participants without delay, and the event will be held at a later date. In such force majeure situations, the Organizer is not obliged to refund registration fees; the method of any refund remains at their sole discretion.
14. The Participant expressly acknowledges that, in addition to generally accepted force majeure events, it shall also be considered force majeure if restrictions or the epidemiological situation do not have a direct impact on holding the race, but the Organizer decides to postpone the event at their own discretion—specifically but not exclusively to protect the health and lives of citizens. In such cases, the Organizer is not obliged to refund registration fees; the method of any refund remains at their sole discretion.
15. The Head Organizer reserves the right to change the route, program, and schedule of the event.
16. The Head Organizer shall not be held liable for accidents or damages resulting from the participants’ lack of preparation, recklessness, or negligence.

18. Completing the registration form constitutes a voluntary disclosure of data. The registrant consents to the event organizers storing the data provided during registration in their database.
19. For their own safety and that of their fellow runners, participants are STRICTLY PROHIBITED from using or listening to any music or other media players in both ears simultaneously while completing the distance. Organizing cyclists and, if necessary, ambulances operate within the field during the race. Earphones drown out external noise, meaning a runner may obstruct fellow participants, organizers performing their duties, or medical teams. Non-compliance will result in the immediate disqualification of the competitor.
20. By registering for the race, the participant agrees to subscribe to the newsletter of the Pulzus Szeged Futóklub SE.
21. By registering for the race, all participants acknowledge that audio and visual recordings may be made of them. The Head Organizer of the race owns these audio and visual materials and may make them available to third parties. Audio or visual recordings of the event may only be made with the prior notification and consent of the organizer. According to the decision of the disaster management authority, the use and operation of private drones at our races is prohibited. Drones may only be operated with the written permission of Pulzus Szeged Futóklub SE.
22. By registering for the Event, the Participant consents to the Event Organizer, as the data controller, forwarding the email address provided during registration to Nagy Sportágválasztó, BBU Nonprofit Kft. (the coordinator of the “Ötpróba” leisure sports program) solely for identification purposes required for Ötpróba point credits. While the primary identifier remains the unique Ötpróba ID number, verifying email addresses is crucial for efficient identification and subsequent point allocation. Nagy Sportágválasztó, BBU Nonprofit Kft. does not store or process these email addresses (including for marketing purposes); they are used exclusively for point crediting in the event of a match.
